Oman Air Cargo has appointed Swissport as its new floor handler at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport (AMS), the Netherlands.

It follows the cargo provider’s first flight between Muscat (MCT) and the Dutch Capital on July 1, which was carrying prescription drugs and engineering spares, in addition to courier and categorical cargo.

The MCT-AMS flight, which is able to function 4 instances every week out of Swissport’s 20,000 sqm, CEIV-certified facility at Terminal 11 at AMS, is a part of ongoing plans by Oman Air Cargo to increase routes to Europe.

Claudius Pereira, senior supervisor – cargo industrial operations at Oman Air, stated: “Europe is a crucial marketplace for us when it comes to income and as a key hub within the area, Amsterdam is a perfect addition to our increasing community.

“Swissport’s dedication to delivering high-quality companies makes them a pure associate for us at Schiphol and we’re trying ahead to working with Swissport to ship an distinctive service for our purchasers.”

Jeroen J. Giling, head of cargo, the Netherlands, at Swissport, stated: “We’re trying ahead to the long run whereby our groups will work collectively to make this new cargo operation between Muscat and Amsterdam an absolute success.”
