Menzies Aviation has introduced it would present floor dealing with, air cargo and fuelling companies at Mosul Worldwide Airport in Iraq below a 10-year licence secured by its three way partnership with Iraqi Airways, Air BP and Al-Burhan Group.

The MASIL three way partnership, which already operates at Baghdad Worldwide Airport, lately dealt with the presidential flight marking Mosul Worldwide Airport’s official reopening. The occasion, attended by Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia’ Al Sudani, signalled the airport’s return to service after being closed since 2014.

Extensively reconstructed, Mosul Worldwide Airport now includes a fundamental terminal, VIP lounge and superior radar surveillance. As soon as absolutely operational within the coming months, it would serve home and worldwide routes, with capability for round 630,000 passengers a 12 months.

Charles Wyley, govt vice chairman for the Center East, Africa and Asia at Menzies Aviation, mentioned: “This can be a main step in our journey to help the redevelopment of Iraq’s aviation sector and produce world-class requirements to the nation’s airports. Dealing with the presidential flight was a privilege and a transparent sign of MASIL’s professionalism and reliability as a trusted service supplier.”

Menzies Aviation and Iraqi Airways shaped MASIL in 2021 to ship floor dealing with, cargo and fuelling companies at key Iraqi airports, with Mosul Worldwide Airport’s addition strengthening its function in modernising the nation’s aviation infrastructure.
