‘In Shock’: Cardiff Vacation Flight Diverted After Chicken Strike – Journey Radar

A Tui vacation flight from Cardiff to Cyprus was compelled to divert to Birmingham Airport after passengers reported listening to a loud rumble and detecting a burning scent shortly after take-off. The Boeing 737 plane, operated by Tui as flight TOM6754, had departed Cardiff Airport at round 16:30 BST on Monday, September 28.

Sudden Diversion Sparks Panic Amongst Passengers

Onboard passenger Dave Preece from Tycroes, Carmarthenshire, stated there was fast unease when the left-hand facet of the airplane started to vibrate following its take off from Cardiff.

The 56-year-old recalled:

Tui Airline Confirms Chicken Strike, Not Engine Failure

Later, Tui clarified that there had been no engine failure, attributing the incident as a substitute to a chicken strike quickly after the take-off from Cardiff.

A spokesperson confirmed:

“The diversion was a precautionary routine process.”

In a press release issued by Cardiff Airport, the officers emphasised that passenger security remained their “primary precedence.”

Nonetheless, the dearth of fast readability created appreciable stress among the many passengers.

Preece added:
