Air Canada launches new route from Edinburgh

Air Canada takes off with new Edinburgh to Montreal route

Canada’s flag provider, Air Canada, has launched its new route between Edinburgh (EDI/EGPH) and Montreal, Canada with the primary flight taking off yesterday.

The three-times-per-week service is Edinburgh’s latest transatlantic route and departs Edinburgh on Tuesday, Friday and Sunday mornings with the return arriving on Monday, Thursday and Saturdays.

Air Canada is working the route utilizing its Boeing 737 Max 9 fleet which function a cabin consisting of 16 seats in Premium Economic system and 153 in Economic system, all with private in-flight leisure (IFE) screens.

Rocky Lo, Air Canada’s Managing Director of Worldwide Gross sales, mentioned: “We’re thrilled to be taking to the skies with our newest transatlantic route from the Scottish capital to our dwelling hub, Montreal, simply in time for summer time.

“Edinburgh is a vital vacation spot for Air Canada, due to the sturdy cultural ties between Scotland and Canada, so we’re proud to be solidifying our presence available in the market with the brand new route, working with our companions at Edinburgh Airport.

“As the one airline connecting these two iconic cities, preliminary demand for the route has already been sturdy, and we anticipate curiosity to develop even additional within the coming months, as leisure and enterprise travellers plan their last-minute summer time journeys.”

The brand new route compliments the exist Air Canada service between Edinburgh and Toronto which operates every day from the Scottish capital.
