A serious airport in Europe is utilizing lasers to each monitor and chase off drones after sightings compelled officers to cancel flights.
In keeping with German newspaper Bild, police outfitted with lasers at the moment are stationed round Munich Airport in case the drones return. The lasers can inform authorities how far the drones are from the airport and function a warning to operators that the automobiles have crossed into restricted airspace.
Drones have been noticed hovering close to and across the airport since Oct. 2. As a precaution, over a dozen flights had been canceled that day, and incoming flights had been redirected to Stuttgart, Nuremberg, Frankfurt, and Vienna.
The drones reappeared sooner or later later, flying close to Munich’s north and south runways, and once more on Oct. 4, when about 170 flights had been canceled.
