SAS indicators for 55 Embraer E195-E2 plane in file order

Scandinavian Air Techniques (SAS) has positioned an order for 55 Embraer E195-E2 plane in what’s the largest direct OEM order for the airline since 1996. The plane will type a part of SAS’s fleet renewal program and shall be used on their regional community throughout Scandinavia.

“This can be a defining second for SAS,” says Anko van der Werff, President & CEO, SAS. “The Embraer E195-E2 is a world-class plane, combining excellent efficiency with wonderful gasoline effectivity and luxury. This plane is essential to enabling future progress and improved connectivity throughout Scandinavia and past. We’ve taken the time to make the precise resolution — and this main funding displays our confidence sooner or later and the power of the settlement we’ve secured.”

The primary plane shall be delivered in 2027 with the remaining plane delivered over a 4 12 months interval.

“The E2 is central to our technique to construct a contemporary, environment friendly fleet with robust efficiency. It allows us to serve extra routes with decrease emissions, higher economics, and a premium expertise for our passengers,” added Van der Werff. “Along with Embraer, we’re setting the course for the subsequent chapter of SAS.”

The Embraer E195-E2 is the most important plane in Embraer’s E-Jet E2 household, designed for brief to medium-haul routes. It options new, fuel-efficient Pratt & Whitney GTF engines, superior aerodynamics, and a redesigned wing, providing as much as 25% decrease gasoline burn per seat in comparison with the earlier technology. With a typical capability of 120–146 passengers, the E195-E2 delivers a quieter, extra sustainable and cost-effective efficiency for airways, whereas sustaining Embraer’s popularity for passenger consolation and excessive dispatch reliability.

We’re assured that these plane will play an important function in SAS’ fleet renewal and enlargement technique, supporting their bold progress plans and enhancing their operational capabilities.”
